Howard Stern joins America's got Talent as show's judge.

It’s official, Howard Stern will join NBC’s America’s Got Talent as judge. NBC made the announcement yesterday (15.12.11) and the shock jock announced it simultaneously on his SiriusXM radio show, that he will be replacing  the departing judge Piers Morgan. Howard Stern, 57, will join Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel on the panel of Simon Cowell‘s variety show for season 7.

“Howard Stern’s larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to America’s Got Talent starting this summer. He’s a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success.”-NBC’s Paul Telegdy stated.

The radio star would be paid $10 million per season, making him the highest-paid judge on the America’s Got Talent panel. NBC declined to confirm or deny that figure. The production will move from Los Angeles to New York to accommodate Howard Stern’s radio schedule on SiriusXM. The family-oriented talent show has been a summer hit for NBC with as many as 14 million weekly viewers.

The Hollywood star supports gay marriages: George Clooney will take part in Dustin Lance Black's Proposition 8 Play.

George Clooney has signed to star in the West Coast premiere of Proposition 8 play penned by Dustin Lance Black. The play chronicles the historic federal court trial overturning Proposition 8, the ballot measure that denied gay and lesbian Californians the right to marry. Gay unions were made legal for the first time in California in 2008, but state legislation Proposition 8 made same-sex marriages illegal just six months after they were declared valid.

The production, directed by Rob Reiner and written by Dustin Lance Black, will run one night only at Los Angeles’ Wilshire Ebell Theatre on March 3. Organizers described the event as an “exclusive, one-night-only fundraiser to benefit AFER.”

“It is astonishing that gay and lesbian Americans are still treated as second-class citizens. I am confident that, very soon, the laws of this nation will reflect the basic truth that gay and lesbian people—like all human beings—are born equal in dignity and rights.”-George Clooney said.

Dustin Lance Black, who won an Oscar for the Harvey Milk biopic Milk and this year’s J. Edgar as well, said:

“People need to witness what happened in the Proposition 8 trial. If for no other reason than to see inequality and discrimination unequivocally rejected in a court of law where truth and facts matter.”-the screenwriter said.

The move west follows a successful performance of the Proposition 8 play in New York in September featuring a cast including Morgan Freeman, Ellen Barkin, John Lithgow and Bradley Whitford. In the LA version, George Clooney will be joined by another all-star cast who will play the roles of the legal teams, plaintiffs and witnesses for both sides of the case, which is now on appeal.

Barry Manilow undergoes muscle repair surgery right after his last Las Vegas show.

Legendary crooner Barry Manilow underwent hip muscle repair surgery on Monday (12.12.11). The entertainer has been suffering from the painful condition for a while, and was reportedly hospitalized for surgery to remove fluid and repair torn muscles in his hip.

Barry Manilow, 68, waited until he performed his 1,000th Las Vegas concert and ended his seven-year run at two resorts there before having the repair surgery.

“That’s what you get when you jump around to Copacabana for 30 years.Wish me luck!”-referring to his best known song, the crooner said.

Barry Manilow’s spokeswoman Annie Jeeves confirmed that the Grammy winner had the muscle repair surgery at a Los Angeles hospital a day after he ended his seven-year run at the Las Vegas Hilton and the Paris Resort on Sunday. The singer is taking six weeks off to mend after the procedure and is scheduled to hit the stage once again on February 2 at the Chicago Theater.

Tony Bennett‘s naked sketch of Lady Gaga is being auctioned for charity via internet auction site eBay.The famous singer recently posed nude so the 85-year-old crooner, who has a second career as a painter, could draw a naked pictures of her after they recorded a song for his Duets II album.

Tony Bennett’s sketch was done as part of an Annie Leibowitz shoot for a photo spread in the January 2012 issue of Vanity Fair magazine. Other items to be auctioned are the accessories Lady Gaga, 25, wore for Annie’s photos including Mercura sunglasses, House of Lavande earrings, an Alexis Bittar ring and a pair of Brian Atwood shoes.

An original print of the Vanity Fair cover image of Lady Gaga autographed by the photographer and a poster of the cover signed by the singer will also be auctioned to raise money for Exploring the Arts and the Born This Way Foundation.

 ”I walked in and said: ‘Well Tony here we are,’ and I dropped my robe and I got into position. I felt shy and thought, ‘It’s Tony Bennett, why am I naked? Oh Tony he’s so handsome. I feel terrible whenever his wife is around because he is so charming and such a gentleman.”- Lady Gaga said previously about posing naked for Tony Bennett.

Work it girl: The troubled actress will debut the long anticipated naked Playboy photos on Ellen.

Lindsay Lohan will debut her naked Playboy photos on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The nude photos, which Hugh Hefner revealed are a “classic tribute” to Marilyn Monroe,reportedly set the Playboy mogul back $1 million.

 ”Lindsay Lohan has agreed to do one media interview during the on-sale period of her issue, and has chosen Ellen. Lindsay will not be doing any additional interviews to promote her pictorial. It’s a classic tribute inspired by the original Tom Kelly nude pictorial of Marilyn Monroe, a portion of which was the original playmate in the very first issue of Playboy. Oh, yes, she’s naked. And classy, very classy.”-a representative for Playboy magazine said.

Miss USA 2010 has been arrested for DUI.

Rima Fakih, former Miss USA, faces drunk driving charges following her arrest Saturday morning (03.12.11) in Highland Park, Michigan. The 26-year-old beauty initially denied that she has been arrested tweeting:

“Let’s clear things up now. … I’m NOT in Michigan and I’m NOT in jail! Wrong Fakih.”

Short time after the tweet was posted, former Miss USA’s lawyer Doraid Elder confirmed that it was in fact Rima Fakih who had been arrested on DUI charges. He did not provide any details surrounding the arrest except to say that Fakih was “very saddened and very apologetic for the situation that she is in right now.” According to WXYZ, Miss Rima Fakih blew a .20, while in Michigan, a .08 is the legal limit.

If convicted, the former Miss USA, faces up to 93 days in jail, as well as fines and court costs, and may be ordered to perform community service.

In May 2010 the beauty became the first Miss Michigan to win the Miss USA title since 1993 and the first Arab American ever to win the pageant. Rima Fakih was born in Lebanon and raised in New York.

Eva Longoria, Desperate Housewives star, has opened up about her relationship with Eduardo Cruz in the December issue of Vanity Fair Spain. The gorgeous actress expressed her gratefulness for her newfound love. The 36-year-old admitted that instead of being consumed with regret over the end of her marriage, she’s just glad she found the Spanish singer, who is ten years younger that her.

“Love did not work with that person. But it can work with another. The only thing I will say is I was very lucky to find Edu.”

In addition to her interview Eva Longoria also did an amazing wintery photo shoot for Vanity Fair Spain. The Texan born brunette filed for divorce from basketball star Tony Parker last November after three years of marriage, and their divorce was finalised in February.Despite the divorce, she’s refused to become cynical about love.
