Pregnant Beyonce proudly shows her baby bump at MTV VMA's.
Beyonce made the surprise announcement as she debuted her baby bump on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards last night (28.08.2011).
The pregnant singer wore a long orange gown by Lanvin, and as she posed for the cameras outlining a baby bump under the beautiful dress, she told assembled press: ‘I have a surprise!’
Then Beyonce 29, appeared onstage to perform her song “Love on Top,” asking the audience to stand up.
“I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me-” she said, revealing the baby news.
After the energetic performance on MTV VMA’s, mom-to-be Beyonce took off her jacket, smiled and rubbed her tummy.
Her husband, rapper Jay-Z was congratulated by his friend and collaborator Kanye West and he gave his pregnant wife a big wave from the audience.
Beyoncé, who has won 16 Grammy awards, said in a recent interview that she feels she has achieved enough in her career to settle down and make family a priority.

Last night Beyoncé performed the first of four sell-out concerts at the Roseland Ballroom in New York. She amazed everyone looking stunning while performing tracks from her number one album 4.
Beyoncé wore sparkling gold dress courtesy of her mother Tina Knowles, paired with shoes by Stuart Weitzman.
“Thank you so much for tonight. It’s taken a lot of hard work to get me where I am. This has been a very special night for me. I searched the world and I found myself. All of you guys have been my inspiration.”-she thanked her audience at the end of the concert.
Beyoncé’s last night performance was the first of four to be held at the 2,500 capacity venue. Tickets for the shows were sold out the day they were released, with one concert selling out in just 22 seconds last week. Mobile phones and cameras recorded constantly during the concert, as she performed the likes of Countdown, Love On Top, End Of Time, I Care, Rather Die Young.
As for her husband, rapper Jay-Z, he was also amazed of his stunning wife. He even said that Beyoncé is like a second coming of Michael Jackson, comparing her work ethic to that of the late King Of Pop.
“What I learned from her is what I learned from Mike, and I know that’s blasphemy to compare the two because Mike was such an innovator but it’s like the second coming.”
“For the hard work and the dedication that she puts into her shows – it just makes you want to work harder at your craft, she’s like a machine.”-Jay-Z said on Miami radio station 99 Jamz.
